From April 7 to 10, the Digibook Partner Congress was held in Nice, France. This event brought together our partners from around the world to discuss the latest needs and developments in heritage digitization.
At the heart of the discussions were Digibook’s products: book scanners for both small and large formats, as well as specialized software for Capture, Image Processing, Online Collection Sharing, and Digitization Project Supervision.
The congress provided a valuable opportunity to engage with the entire Digibook network and announce the release of exciting new features. Among them, two major innovations stood out:
Calibration Module
First, the Calibration Module—a tool integrated into the Limb Capture software that allows any operator to calibrate their scanner in under five minutes by simply following the on-screen instructions.
This module ensures optimal calibration based on six image quality criteria: resolution, tonal response, color accuracy, noise, lighting uniformity, and distortion.
Thanks to this solution, the entire digitization process can now take place within a single interface, offering users an intuitive, efficient experience and image quality that meets international standards such as ISO, FADGI, and Metamorfoze.
Live Preview for the Linear Scanner Range
Another major update is the live preview functionality for the Quartz range. From now on, Digibook’s linear scanners will offer real-time preview of the scanning area—significantly saving time for institutions and ensuring optimal scanning precision.
This new feature is part of our ongoing ergonomic improvement program for both our scanners and software. Our goal is to make Digibook scanners and functionalities even more intuitive and user-friendly.
